No Longer Will I Dream Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

No Longer Will I Dream

It's such a peaceful place to be
Beneath the ocean waves
Swaying in the tidal current
Where all the fishes play

She told me that our love was done
She found somebody new
So I shot her with a little gun
My Rugar 22

Now there he stood with fearful eyes
The man that ruined my life
So for him I took the extra time
Slow dissection with a knife

No longer will I dream in life
Few thoughts of her remain
I lay in rest on the ocean floor
In a silent open grave

If I could cry for life now lost
I would do so for my Jewel
The woman who destroyed my faith
In love forever true

Heaven's door is closed to me
The spouse who took three lives
Hell cannot claim my soul
When for love is why I died

Henceforth my rest shall be the sea
Wherever she decides
My only peace that comforts me
Is free from dreams am I
