No Man's Land Poem by DM W

No Man's Land

A godless, sickly yellow sun
Belches on muddy, blood stained ground.
Gnarled, black trees, like the outstretched arms
Of the dying, malign mad war;
That sweeps over the centuries,
Like an unsatiated beast.
