“I shall go back and sell tea”
“I have no stake and totally free”
The Prime Mister designate declared
He set challenges for others and dared

People of weak resolve failed
They only showed words and attacked
The popular will was lacking
The people were not backing

The youth has come out in support
They have clearly sought
The direction from unknown leader
To act and advice as pleader

India is emerging after long sleep
People are urged to maintain and keep
Old tradition of tolerance and peace
So people can live relatively at ease

The poling has come to an end
The result may be out and sent all over
The new leader may take country ahead
Let us hope there is no more bloodshed
