From one a second emerges.
There is no birth, no gestation, no planning
I always thought there was just me
but a lesson long ago let know
that you are if nothing-
assertive, decisive, unbending, overbearing
and at times I don't even think of my needs
because how you are doing controls
even how I breathe
I get jealous when someone touches you
and I am afraid someone will harm you
But how can that happen again?
Some days you seem to disappear
and I am light as air
I must reach out, must touch
Must know that you ARE there
But sometimes you weigh me down
cast me into despair. Then I search
Got to escape
I talk to you and I am sure you listen
sometimes I beg, sometimes I sing,
and that attracts a crowd
so I do not do it aloud
I've read to you, stayed up all night with you
and even asked if you wanted music
Everyone told me you were not a friend
and that you had to go
But I was the only one to argue.
You were stoic, calm, and always reminding
of life's steady, steady flow
Sure, nothing may be going right
But that's just a refrain
You came, you left
You remain
Brilliant, Richard! I always did see my poem here as the tension that baser instincts could impose on the higher being, the higher self. Thank you so much!
It is a rough road Less for some But some have it more Important to endure.. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so very much. I am amazed how there are times when that is missed. Thanks again.

I would like to translate this poem
That some one who already left still remains so live in your memory as an eternal presence! Though he/she gave you mixed experiences of joy and pain, you felt your life was a vacuum without him/her! He/She was an inalienable presence in your life! This is one of your best writes where you touch upon the intricacies of an emotional entanglement with another being, could be God Himself!
Valsa, thank you so very, very much.
