No More Tears Poem by Pauline Levesque

No More Tears

There will be no more tears now as
The guff is empty.
My soul is sore and tired.
I have loved you and that I know
made your heart sing..
But it was never enough.

I am compared to others, even if you say I’m not
I will never have enough growth for you
As you have spent so many years
Teaching others to be where you need them.
You are spent and need to be alone now.

Tears have fallen from my checks in sadness, frustration and
Love I will lose…
For I pay the price for them
We are in separate streams of life…
I am coming in you are coming out.

No one’s fault but the lose is so deep
I am silenced by what you said and I
Listen to the lessons learned.

How we met and how we began
It could have been bliss, heaven, we had all the ingredients for love
But damn the affair, the scars, the wounds, the past that others have left on our hearts,
In our minds…
We were never really open to each other, accepting of each others faults and failings..
We never got the rose colored glasses in the mail that allowed us to see each other
In purity, love, innocence and tenderness.
We saw the ugly, the weak to..to early….trust was crushed by dark tentacles that reached into our spirits and unhappiness festered and changed the color from rose to bleak grey.

There will be no more tears
The universe will make the final decision,
It always does
And more scars are added to the bookshelf of my life.
