No More Than Middle-Aged Poem by Dorsey Baker

No More Than Middle-Aged

He tasted the fish
said it was too salty
he tried the beef
said it was too tough
He thought about driving
to Texas
but it was just a lttle
too far to drive
He decided instead
to go to the gym
and work out
he needed to stay in shape
he told himself
after all
he was still young enough
to make a nice sized muscle!
