No One - Poem by Kelly Kurt

The brightest star in the firmament
Cannot illuminate the blackness alone
The most joyful lilt in the annals of music
Will not keep feet jubilant indefinitely
No single work of poetry or painting
Can beguile one and all imperishably
No one of any physical essence is enough
To achieve ascendency in perpetuity
Not a pretext for dispiritedness
But a call to join the chorus

A leader how much great he may be is helpless unless and until he gets followers and supporters from the masses. He leads and the masses bring great revolutions in the society. A wonderful poem by my great friend..........10 (Report) Reply

Thank you my dear friend, Akhtar. There is no shame in being one of the masses when the cause is great. Joining in, giving your best at anything adds to the whole.

WOW! I want to think on this some more... When I have some time. This is a lovely thoughtful piece you've put together. I've been reading so much, I hardly have time to write. It's my goal to achieve an a priori thought... You've issued the impossible challenge. ;) (Report) Reply

I think trying to achieve that goal is a self defeating proposition. If one should appear, it will be when you don't expect it. You have to recognize it immediately or it will effervesce back from whence it came.: -)
Thank you for your generous comments, Pamela. I am deeply appreciative.
