No One Stays Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

No One Stays

Children,
Should be taught...
In ways to help them grow.
And,
Use their minds to think.
And,
Not fear to be independent.

Children,
Should be taught...
By older children too.
Not to tell a lie.
Or tell them to deny.

No one Stays a child forever.
But...
Many adults still act like kids.
Living on lies and telling 'fibs'.
No one Stays a child forever.
But...
All their lives some adults live,
Never to know what the truth is.

Living on lies to fake.
Isn't a life to appreciate.
Living on lies to fake a life to live,
Is...
Sad.
And...
No one stays like that,
To not know truth for what it is...
Can admit happiness they know.

No one stays,
Without truth.
Can admit happiness they show.
And no one lives,
Without truth.
Can admit happiness they know.
