A fearful world, re-inforced
By this fact, too sad.
Not one, of all a harmless
Soft to stroke creature
No, not one bunny rabbit
Or hamster is glad
From out its hole, hiding-place
To let me hug it.
And me, first the dim unknown
Trekked in, prayed in, lost!
Truly a babe in a wood!
Gentle of spirit.
