No Publicity Poem by Phil Soar

No Publicity

I requested no publicity
When I got lost as lost could be
And I told the policeman that found me
I didn't want publicity

Instead, he went on the T.V.
Asked if anyone recognized me
In the hope that my Identity
Would jog somebody's memory

Ten days later, still no name
Maybe the care home's to blame
Some said it's a crying shame
He's all alone and has no name

But hey, I'm not alone at all
Just out for a stroll around the mall
With nothing to bother me at all
Except that bloody constable
