No To Doctors Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

No To Doctors

No to doctors

For years I
said: "Not I."

But no more
I caught cold
finally I got sick;
pain in face and ears
nose blocked with stuff.

My dumbness was the cause
think of them, just because
they and I do suffer, all of us
they don't have; I am dumb.

I shivered in this cold since forgot
to close path of cold; they freeze
as homeless on the roads……

I purchased best drug
boiled and ate the flesh
sipped the juice
and steam I inhaled.

Old friend for long time,
great is the turnip.

Have always said no to
medicines and doctors.
