Nobody Special Poem by Rachel Brewer

Nobody Special

Rating: 3.5

I want to tell you about me,
But I can’t. I’m no one,
I’m not worth knowing about.
When people look at me, they look right through,
I know they see me,
But they know I’m nothing special,
So they don’t remember me.
I’m not famous,
I’m not a writer,
I’m not an athlete,
I’m nobody, nobody special.
So they don’t remember me.
I don’t take it personally,
I know other people feel like me, thousands of people.
So I’m writing this for them,
And as for the people who look through,
Next time, try looking a bit closer,
You never know, you could find someone worth noticing,
Although, I know I’m nobody special.
