Nonchalance Poem by Tanuj Nagpal

Nonchalance

Rating: 4.0

What shall I do, What shall I make this painful heart understand
Hundreds of thousands of times I swore to this painful heart
But it doesn't listen to me
Only furnishing your dreams
Since I lost it to you
Your nonchalance killed me

I have no control over my heart
It doesn't need the world anymore
Finds you in everyone
Like there's no one else in this world
It is the truth that people say
Promise keepers dont laugh
Who get trapped in the words of the heart
They have no scarcity of tears
Do a favour on this heart
It keeps dwindling
In the paths of your love
Your nonchalance killed me

My days pass in your memories
Even the stars dont appeal me
From my lips like a smile shows up
My eyes envisage your sight
You also listen to the voice of the heart
Once again traverse those paths (of love)
Complete the talk (of love) with me today
Wrap your heart around my heart today
Without you there is no one to depend upon
Sweetheart, come home quickly
Your nonchalance killed me

Nonchalant attitude sometimes is an indication of ebbing fascination. I like the articulation of the poem, it's a good piece well articulated and nicely penned. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

When a relationship ends with complete nonchalance from one, That coldness is indicative of not having had real love in the first place. That makes mourning for it all the more sad. Thanks for sharing, Tanuj. Peace
