Nonsense To Welcome Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Nonsense To Welcome

Too much of a good thing,
For many has been...
Their justifiable reason,
To detest and protest against it.

Even interest shown,
With respect to give to others...
These days return negative attitudes.
Expected to accept,
As an expression of gratitude.

Nonsense to welcome.
Has become a reflection of a society,
Tormented by an abundance of entitlements.
And not one to have earned.
Or keep them valued.

Yet taken for granted to what has been given,
Will always find...
A group of fools to prove they can undo,
What they have to destroy it.
Then to accuse what they alone have done,
To blame on others refusing to welcome...
Their nonsense committed to permit!
