Noodle Noodle - Nonsense Poetry Poem by Clive Culverhouse

Noodle Noodle - Nonsense Poetry

noodle noodle
doorbell chime
who's that calling after nine
a toaster and saucepan looking for a friend
and a hippo hiding behind a hat stand

noodle noodle
doorbell chime
who is calling at this time
an oak tree wearing high heeled boots
and sixteen spatulas in business suits

noodle noodle
doorbell chime
a call this late should be a crime
three red pens and an oyster shell
all singing songs with a bicycle bell

noodle noodle
doorbell chime
earlier in the day would have been fine
an oven door with braces on
the parrot in pyjamas shouts BE GONE!
