You say that you and your country follows Jesus
And how he frees everyone of us,
And that you live in a great Christian country
Surrounded by beautiful, God given land, mountains and sea.
A Christian is a person who follows Christ
Even though he was a middle eastern and not white,
They follow and obey his teachings and commandments
In their homes and apartments and even in tents.
Let me please remind you of this
Before your soul is tossed in Hell's fiery abyss,
From the beginning of your country's foundation
Your country was not founded as a Christian nation.
The Lord said who lives by the sword will die by it
But, murder you will stand for and proudly commit,
You ignore what Jesus had said
As you don't care or are bothered when people are shot dead.
Jesus said I was hungry and you gave me food
No anger or hate at me was spewed,
I was thirsty and then you gave me a drink
No hostility at me did you ever once think.
Sadly you or your countrymen don't feel that way
You usually don't help or for them pray,
If you see or hear of a stranger or a immigrant near by
You want them to be kicked out or arrested or die.
Jesus spoke, "I was a stranger and you let me in"
Not once did you see me with evil or sin,
His disciples replied, "when did we see you as a stranger and welcomed you"
Jesus said when you did it for one of the least you did it for me too.
You do not do or believe what Jesus had taught or done
So, in your soul you carry hate and in your hand you carry a gun,
And you still go to church to worship
Seemingly you have a conflict of interest.
You hate your enemy, but you say you love your neighbor
And you always carry a weapon deadlier than a saber,
Jesus said love your enemy and pray for those who persecute
Those words and beliefs you constantly dispute.
Jesus said the poor will always be there
But, never do you give them sympathy or help or a prayer,
Blessed he said who are poor for theirs is the kingdom of God
But, you say and believe that's all a facade.
Jesus said it's hard for the rich to enter paradise
And you believe that those words are all but lies.
You don't help or give care for the needy or the poor
As if you truly believe you'll bring your wealth to heavens door.
This is not a Christian nation and it never was
Only for our own and for money do we truly love.
I wonder if our country and us bring Jesus shame
When we say we are Christians and we use Jesus's name.
