peace settled here
so did we
in the evening of our lives
the kind sun and cool breeze
made it easy
for the old
but that's in olden times
today weakened bones
fading memory
tortoise paced, we are outsiders
this city doesnot know us
nor our pains
nor our joys
the monthly rush
the gush
the flush of currency
is not for us
not any more
now we sit, she and I
side by side
tea keeps us company
