Not A Stalker Poem by Randy McClave

Not A Stalker

You keep on saying that I am calling you
But, how can I since I don't remember your number,
Yes of course I called you many years ago which is true
But, since then my fingers and memory does slumber.
I don't even remember your voice,
And of course all of that is by pure choice.

You keep on saying that I am driving past your home
Well of course that is another one of your lies,
It would be like me looking for the Statue of Liberty as if I were in Rome
That truth soon I hope you will realize.
I even get lost in my own little town,
Many times a day for directions I call whether I'm up or down.

Some days I even forget what the day is
And many times of the week I forget appointments I have made,
Sometimes I even forget the last time I took a wiz
And always for guidance from God I have prayed.
Now this I hope is not a shocker,
But, the reasons I mentioned are the reasons why I can't be a stalker.
