Not Always Strangers Poem by Randy McClave

Not Always Strangers

Be wary of all dangers
Your enemies are not always strangers,
They are also the ones with whom you had broke bread
And the ones with whom you shared your bed.
They are the ones to whom you had called your pal
Or the one who said that she is your gal,
Sometimes you'll be stabbed in the back
When honor and righteousness a person does lack.
Enemies you think that you already know
You expect them with that first deadly blow,
But, the ones who will cause your true end
Will always be the ones who you first called friend.
