Not Caring About Getting The Credit Poem by gershon hepner

Not Caring About Getting The Credit

It’s amazing how much you accomplish when you
do not care about who gets the credit,
perhaps not a mansion that’s in Malibu
or a villa with view of the Medit-
terannean, but you may get something though stabbed
in the back by the person who’ll get
the credit for what you accomplished and grabbed
all benefits, which you’d be wise to forget.

My balance for credit tends always to be
quite negative, but if I’d ever
ask for it I’m sure that I never would see
something positive for my endeavor.
If you wonder why I feel more negative than
Ronald Reagan, I don’t know the reason,
except that perhaps I’m a too trusting man
and credit is never in season.
