Not Friends Yet Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

“We are not friends yet”
She came out with response very late
“Face book is acting as villain”
It causes bad feeling with pain

I was explaining it to reader friend
The world was not nearing to an end
But it existed as normal practice
Unwanted friends are not provided space

“I will think only when the request is received”
She was nicely spoken and well mannered
I wondered and thought about the only rose flower
How that comes up in desert after rainy shower

I will term her as innocent creature
Carved out exactly for future
For people to see as wonderful human being
For lots of joy and happiness to bring

Some of the figures are unforgettable
As they emerge from nowhere to offer smile
Come out with lasting impression
This is where the new way opens for relation

“One day and 23 hours left for lifting of ban”
I sent the reason to her for future plan
“No gentleman, I make no friends
Especially after looking present trend

But shall consider it at the moment I receive
This is simple reason and meant not to deceive
I shall have to think it before I consent
You are nice man and I see it that way at present

“What a way to receive nice complement”?
That made me to think more and comment
Nothing wrong in waiting for day more
I smiled and murmured “I can explore”
