Not Going Be A Fool Forever Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Not Going Be A Fool Forever

You've got the cruelest heart, I have ever known
When you say you love me, you know,
it'll touch me deep and makes me weak
Words that'll keep me under the influence of your control
Where are we going to, do you know?
because, I can't continue to give away, my heart and soul

You've made beautiful promises
Guess you figured, I'd forget
A life of bliss, beyond my years
instead, you bring me only tears
you ain't ever going to care

With no regrets, I'm leaving you
The love that lived inside my heart, it's gone
Did you think i'd keep holding on?
Baby, i'm sorry, I love you, I apologize
Baby, this love have met it's demise
when are you going awake to see
I'd leave behind painful memories
I was your fool, but, I wasn't going be a fool forever
Going find me a new love, one who treats me right
and love me like you never could
for the rest of my life
