Not Interested Poem by James Kucera

Not Interested

Rating: 4.8

No, I'm not interested at all
in people that haven't really lived.
People that haven't truly suffered themselves,
yet always have some high and mighty advice
to give to others.

I'm not interested in your phony facades
and countless masks you wear.
And I loathe the ignorance of those who equate
financial wealth with intelligence and higher being.

I'm interested in the ones that are real,
that aren't afraid to show that in their art.
Vulnerability is a universal human beauty
that makes me comfortable with my own darkness.

So phonies, frauds, nympho freaks that can't get
beyond the mundane of sex, gun toting gangster wannabes,
don't come this way fools unless you want to see
the truth wrath of the cosmos.

A real rabid realization of reality that is a candid and creative composition!

Brave utterances set aside for honest contemplation. An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing James.
