Not Writing Is Burden For Compulsive Poets Poem by Terence George Craddock

Not Writing Is Burden For Compulsive Poets

lade not laid why lade not laid?

laid implies to put something down gently
carefully placed in position waiting for use
lade like spade cuts into ground for impact
lade like a ship cargo packed full of space

laid as in to rest implies peace finished
lade has implications to burden or oppress
the oppressive poetic burden of not writing
not writing is burden for compulsive poets
