I have wounds too,
Like you do.
Some just take too long
To heal they hurt
For many years,
The pain they birth
Have dried my tears.
I have scars too,
Perhaps you do.
Seems Life's battles -
They do not end
All these struggles
Where Lessons lend
Insight and some truth
There lies the fruit.
I am tired and weary
Like you, maybe.
And yet I find
Strength to hit back
In Life's ring
To stand up, attack
Keep breathing
And though alone
There's hope because
I'm not yet down.
