Nothing Is The Same Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Nothing Is The Same

Rating: 5.0

Who painted your face on my TV screen?
Why is your face in the mirror where
Mine should be?
Why is your name running around
In my brain?
Somehow, nothing is the same.

There must be something I can do,
I followed a stranger through a revolving
Door; I thought it was you.
I dine alone, walk aimlessly in the rain,
Somehow, nothing is the same.

It's been so long since you went away...
I mark the calendar day by day,
It doesn't matter who's to blame,
Come back home!
Without you, somehow,
Nothing is the same.
