Nothingness Poem by David Floren

Nothingness

Nothingness is in
The eye of the beholder.
It's so obvious.

It is within reach,
This nothingness. We coined the
Word. We use the damn word.

The word is nothing
Without what we give to it.
In this case: a whole

Lot of nothing. My
Theory is that we use the
Word to describe a

Swath of emotions
Having to do with what we
Ignore and avoid.

Someone's everything
Can be another's nothing.
That's what I'm thinking.
