That day in house I was frozen in chill,
Sky was cloudy, air broodingly heavy,
I wanted to come out and search for sunshine
But how could I do while grey wrapped me?
I searched sky for a streak of the sun,
He too was frozen far behind black clouds;
I searched horizons for moon's dull glimpse,
It was new moon, moon, hid on Sun's lap.
Clueless I was, I ventured out of house
In search of warmth to light up my spirit;
Road was empty, not a soul, no movement,
I walked in solitude in search of a refuge.
Suddenly all black, rain poured in fury,
Drenched I was, shuddered in freezing wind;
It was cloud-burst, next cleared black clouds,
Sun peeped through clouds, smiling at me.
Wind carried clouds out, air turned warm,
People from homes trickled out to road;
Day became warm, sunshine filled world,
I turned to my self, bustling with spirit.
Now is not next, not necessarily later,
Each time is own in inherent nuances;
Today is bleak, not necessarily next day,
Time in its layers hide unexpected turns.
I turned back from road to my house
In warmer air and brighter sunshine;
House was warm and so was my spirit,
And I turned to my pen to write this verse.
