Nowhere To Run Poem by Phil Soar

Nowhere To Run

With nowhere else to run to, And no-one else to follow
I took the road to destiny, That led to my tomorrow
And as I made the journey, emptiness was always there
And the cobbled stones I walked on, led me to nowhere

When I had reached my final goal, I'd walked a solemn route
No pity there to partner me, just life and gods own truth
And if I pass this way again, perhaps along the way
The road that leads to happiness, will meet my heart half way
