Numb Man. Poem by Wisdom Ihenacho

Numb Man.

Rating: 5.0

Numb man, pity i feel for thy soul,
Society is crazy, you say,
You sound like its in you, but like a hole,
Your father told you go, but you don't know why
Your mother told you careful, trying to know why?

Numb man, pity i feel for thy soul,
In this part of your world you say,
Happiness is short,
Regret is long,
Pity is mock,
Life a midget,
Death is quick,
Tears is usual,
Pain is constant,
Tribe is curse,
Custom is ugly,
Society is crazy,
"Hunger" a wallet invader,
Marijuana is thinking,
Alcohol is pissy,
Money is costly,
change is a dream,
Nigeria is war.

Numb man, pity i feel for thy soul
But here is what i have to say,
You choose to laugh,
You choose to care,
You choose to change,
You choose to be different,
You choose to be numb,
And like the way you need to forgive to forget,
Numb man you need to neglect to live.
