Boy In World War Iii Poem by Wisdom Ihenacho

Boy In World War Iii

Rating: 5.0

Nightmares about the dark streets glocked guns,
Wake up listening to police sirens, like random do re mi fa so,
10pm news gives us zero joy about tomorrow,
His father thinks it's all change, cause men no longer wear khaki but chino.

Boy in world war III
After school its about the boys at the back, with a short knife,
And on the street, don't wear that colour of shirt, just to keep your life,
To the boy in world war III, laughter is short in Lagos, money excess in US and France,
To the boy in world war III, unnecessary champagne is youth and style slavery, marijuana is a thought full of truth and trance.

Boy in world war III
Frown is his face, smile when he is really amazed,
Loyalty has brought disgrace, cause friends he knew changed,
Maybe Nigeria thinks corruption makes a wise man,
But after prayer, ponder, hunger and strive.
She finally bore a soldier, not just a man.

Boy in world war III,
Every poor or average Nigerian, is like a soldier in war.
