Nyctophiliac Poem by R K Summers

Nyctophiliac

Whisper the wind and carry the rose
Cast out the ashes and weaken the crows
Listen, the mages wither the rogues
Awaken a fire inside
Tormenting riddles and crippling tears
As parading fiends and terror appears
Who knows what nightmare spawned the fears?
Betwixt Jekyll and Hyde

Choke back the tears and bite back the fright
Embracing the shadows and shunning the light
Think what you may, I belong to the night
And I can never go back
Forever in white a ghost in the mists
Saphirian eyes and rubies in fists
Condemning saints as sinners resist
Eternal nyctophiliac

Imagery abounds along with the rhymes and sounds. Well done. A nice read indeed.
