O Master! Give Me Strength! Poem by Prabir Gayen

O Master! Give Me Strength!

Rating: 5.0

O My Master! Give me Strength!

O dear master! Give me strength
to be able to recognise The Truth,
In the name of Truth we accumulate false,
Sweet and beautiful false,
In the name of simplicity
We are in search of new complexity,
We talk about non-violence
and violence is peeping through
every atom of body and Being,
Mind is fed on violence,
We pretend to worship God
and behind desires are making
Web of infinite ripples,
Mind is a great trouble seeker,
We are false in every sphere of Life,
Never ever genuine in our search,
We are faceless faces and lost
In the waves of dull knowledge,
Knowledge is a dark room
and it wraps our anile intelligence,
The Sun rises every morning,
The Moon casts infinite beauty,
And we talk of our inner beauty,
Never our mind is wonder- struck,
Never we find infinite beauty in the
buds and blossoms,
We are false seekers of truth and beauty,
We feed our egos and live in peace,
In the name of peace we invoke labile
state of mind,
Tranquility becomes
a chain of annoyance,
We live in mind and mind moves from one desire
to another,
Sowing the seeds of unhappiness
and our prayer is full
of dark night,
We are destroying our lives
and with drowsiness we bow-down
thinking ourselves to be great and wise,
We are false disciplines of Nature
and our devotion is skin-deep,
Every moment Judging this or that,
Rich are proud and poor are jealous,
We are not the masters of our minds,
We are slaves to our desires and pretend to be
seekers of Truth,
O My Master, Beloved the great,
raise my heart to pure emptiness,
Give me strength to feel the spirit
Of real enquiry for godliness.
