O Pormhunter! What Can You Do!
O pormhunter! what can you do!
People were dying for Corona bite,
Now starvation is pandemic,
What does a poet can do?
A poet is a poor soul,
May be rich in heart
but a poet can do nothing,
A poor poet in a poor country
Can only be a spectator,
A witness to disaster,
Nature has decided to end the
humankind,
Dismal delusion of natural calamity,
O pormhunter! What can you do?
Poetry is not the exercise,
for all the time, of Love, beauty
and Joy or to make people think of
a grave situation only with words,
Poetry should be an active help
to make people survive on the surface
of this Beautiful planet,
A helping hand, a collective hand
What we need to feed the people.
My heart with pain full and
an ache unbearable waves me out,
A rush hour of deep despondency,
All along a lone lane of good people,
Silenced with deep hunger,
The blank eyes with unuttered words,
Children are without knowledge,
A life of deep dungeon thrust upon them,
Poverty has become a hell,
A restless town and restless hamlet,
People are restless with inner trance
and without hopes,
The prospect is lost and
hopeless life is heaving
along the margin of life and death,
In a state where death is sweeter
than life which is deathly in every kind,
A poet can do nothing only to realise
the indivisible lumbago of enormous discomfiture,
A poor poet in a poor country,
O pormhunter! What can you do?
