O Soul in the womb
what songs without a word
rise from mother's womb
only your heart has heard-
the voice, the voice divine,
the voice in all things
rise whistling like
O Soul in the womb
You hear that now too,
the melody, heavenly notes,
the birds singing at dawn,
the nightingale on the window,
all, all dispel the darkness and
the silence of the dark.
O Soul in the womb
I see you are still standing
As in your mother's womb
Listening to the sound
Of mother's milk stream
and of crickets and humming flies,
all singing praise of the divine,
present everywhere.
