Obama The Man Of The Moment Poem by Francis Duggan

Obama The Man Of The Moment

Rating: 5.0

Why mention him as one of colour since he represents black, white and brown
Obama the man of the moment he could be the man of renown
The ex President is bound for Texas back to his ranch where he does belong
In voting him their two term Commander in Chief the U S voters did get it wrong.

The one who declared war on terror introduced terrorism to Afghanistan and Iraq
Where a million have died as reported their lives to them cannot be given back
America the great Land of many great people need something now to celebrate
Obama may be their messiah the President greater than great.

Eight years of war, hatred and division 'tis time for a healing one might say
Is Obama the healer in waiting the great hope of the U S of A?
The people of Afghanistan and Iraq for many years now doing it tough
After eight years of war and terrorism one must say enough is enough.

Obama the man of the moment he stands on the summit of fame
Who knows the twenty first century peace messiah his could become an immortal name
After eight years of war and disappointment a change for the better overdue
And America needs a great leader I only say here what is true.
