Obelisk Poem by Yashim George

Obelisk

Whispers from the great beyond,
Unlock mankind's feeble thinking
And
Deliver hell-bent focus by a revelation stars dreamt
An illume of sun, not night or dark
On the carve are gestures, glimpses, and the maiden's spell
Carve me along with her one day, at mankind's waited end
Her smile will I see and salvation cling to thine heart, for living waters flow and in their bubbling sounds I hear the Savannah smile and sight of brilliant glow
...
Thou, this Obelisk of transcended passion
Passion en phileo
