Perpetual Daydream Poem by Yashim George

Perpetual Daydream

All the time I see you in the places I go
You very often step out of a dream
A dream that I am not part of
I watch you through the window pane
It delights me to hear you speak
My heart races with photons as I do
I can't yet catch up to you
I may never catch up and it hurts, so bad
You have an apprehensive attention purview
Your eyes are so full of wisdom and lure
I see you because you are hard to miss
So I make you my perpetual daydream
Fate is my opponent and adversary
Love is a myth, that is why I dream
I dream when I am awake

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
About Victoria Abakasa, because she is stardust. She is older than I am. I admire immensely, but fate have taken some decisions out of my hands
