Obituary Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Obituary

Obituary

On the roads, in the mosques
-in the large and small
-villages and cities of Iran
-elderly and faithful
-those who know depths of books
-have gathered and pray for Islam
-which is washed and clothed in a white
-coffin, then, hidden in a casket
-ready for burial.

Islam died!
Islam died!
Islam died!

In fact, poor has been killed
-by rulers and mullahs.

Shameless wolves are actors
-to show sheep mask the face.

They lie and embezzle
-they steal, practice injustice.

Since the faith of Islam
-bans them as non-Islam
-they had to kill Islam
-in cloak of Islam.

A book is opened for
-the honest and the just
-who recalls memories
-of truth, honesty
-to come, sign.

Soon sky will darken
-with flags; Black-White
-made from cloths of
-the Turbans of Mullahs.

Be Percy of Shellys
-sign the book while alive.
