Objecting To Protecting Themselves Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Objecting To Protecting Themselves

Too comforting,
Racial tensions have become.
Making more senseless,
The ignorance of it solicited.

And,
What from this does does anyone benefit?
Who is it that wishes,
A stupidity to display...
Attracts others to this way of life?

People are protesting,
Against protecting themselves...
From a pandemic spreading a virus.
Hospitalizing thousands and threatening death.
But yet...
It is the color of one's skin.
That those oppose unable to accept,
The endless contributions they have made...
To this World we all inhibit.
Although...
Historically this is seldom mentioned,
By the ones whose ancestors...
Yesterday, today or tomorrow,
Coulda, woulda but never did admit...
If it had not been for those of colored skins,
Few living today on lies, deception and corruption...
Would not exist on treason, betrayal, wickedness,
And evil to event it...
Alone.
Without testing their hoodwinking to bamboozle,
On others awakening needing no confirmation to validate...
Who represents having an absence of mental stability!

When people object to the protecting themselves,
With a disrespecting others assisting in their survival...
How much more can a sick mind get!
