Obsession Poem by Martin Baraka

Obsession

He had only this idea in his head
one that he could never forget
he didn't want it when he was dead
but rather while he still had his head
that watch
that he always stopped to watch
his eyes would light up
and his arms stretch up
when he was stressed up
he just had to stand up
and look
