'Ode To August's Splendor' Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

'Ode To August's Splendor'

Ode to August's Splendor
Oh, August, thou art a radiant gem,
When summer's sun doth warmly caress the land,
A time of plenty in each fertile stem,
Thy golden touch in nature's vibrant hand.

The fields, adorned in amber, green, and gold,
Beneath the azure sky, they stretch so wide,
With ripened grains and fruits, a sight to behold,
In thee, dear August, abundance does reside.

The meadows dance with life, a lively show,
As butterflies and bees in symphony play,
And rivers' melodies in soft, sweet flow,
Amidst thy warmth, where nature's wonders sway.

Yet in thy midst, there's a bittersweet thought,
For August's kiss hints at the season's end,
As days grow shorter, a change is brought,
In this transition, a truth to comprehend.

Still, let us revel in thy splendid grace,
The brilliance of thy sunsets, painted fire,
For in this fleeting time, we find our place,
Ode to August's splendor, our heart's desire.

So, August, with thy beauty and thy bloom,
Thy vibrant days in the sun's sweet embrace,
In thee, we find a sense of life's perfume,
A radiant ode to this enchanting space.
