Ode To The Lady Of The Lake Poem by Jean Dament

There is a lovely lady of the lake, who is a true Goddess,
Her strong presence can be felt far & wide; especially when she casts out her potent spells & prowess,

She's a mystical being, who'll stage magical spells on both friend & foe
alike,
Causing drastic changes, that can inlight; while giving some second sight;

Or she will turn the tides of souls in such a way that may take their very life;
And with the choosing of who would be King or Queen, she created amongst her family much strife,

She reigns & haunts this enchanted island they call Avalon...so beware;
As she parts the eerie mists rising off the lake with care,

Then at times she's kind & guides weary travellers towards this safe place to dwell,
The beauty & secrets hidden here will endear one so; that they will
never forget or ever tell.
