Of Dogs Poem by Richard Stopps

Of Dogs

Frassa stayed goodly years
Blessing all that ever met.
Those days were idyllic, glorious
For this Champion and this Pet.

Things of moment to which, He wist,
Things taught too long to list
The Stars almost went away
Before Ben faded in the mist

Niven's life was sadly parted
From his owner & his friend
But 'Lad O' Galloway' lingered
In memory, reluctant to ascend.

Lottie's Life was very brief
Her death our lesson learned
Not to mistake existence long,
For the Intensity we've earned!

For every sadness noted
A canine blessing was received
For in our dog's we've noted love
Even when repeatedly, we grieve.
