Of How Lucky You Are Poem by Francis Duggan

Of How Lucky You Are

Rating: 5.0

On the social ladder you may not have climbed far
But you ought to realize of how lucky you are
Mentally and physically you are feeling okay
And you wake from your sleep feeling well every day
You are one who does not have any ache or pain
And you do not have any cause to complain
You earn enough money for you and your family to live well
And of life you have quite a good story to tell
You can count yourself lucky quite lucky indeed
Of anything you are not one of in need
Not one of the wealthier men of the town
And you may be a stranger even to local renown
On the social ladder you may have climbed far
But you ought to realize of how lucky you are.
