VIRGINIA PECHO GELY

Of Poetry And Prose - Poem by VIRGINIA PECHO GELY

Love and passion…
…identified feelings,
…mixed emotions of rhyming words worthy written…
…in gleaming lines…
…into stanzas…
…into verses…

I trembled…
…from remembrances of spilled ink over the page…
…immaculately virgin-like for years.

I waited…
Holding and unfolding…
For a life full of revelations,
…from a naked world and blessed intentions,
…from nature and from youth…
My unending inspirations…

I’ve found…
…a friend who cares and shares,
…that long, lost desire to write again,
As of hearing back sweet melodies…
…from old love songs of bygone days.

I am reborn…
Recovering joy and freedom…
Breathing the limelight…
…for my soul’s delight.

I dedicate this to you my friend
With my profound gratitude,
So wonderful it is…
…to dream and live once more…
…in a world of rhyme and words…
…and of poetry and prose.
