Of The Eagle Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Of The Eagle

Of the Eagle

We were boy students,
Small, in fifth grade.

Was weary when entered,
Right away read poem.

It was on old eagle,
Broken, unable!

She read and explained,
With her life, she compared.

'The crows told eagle
Eat junks for survival! '

Now, after the decades
She remains role model:
'No, no, no, not ever,
Said kingbird, went away! '

Then flew, flew high
To sky, where belonged.

Glided with pride
Till a foe from down
Aimed at her, hit a side.

Sky king looked at wing,
Saw arrow with feather:
'And this is of ourselves
An eagle has caused pain! '

I follow Andrew, the Prince,
And the court against him
Has feather in his wing…

Yes, ended the ruling
Of British Queen!

No ink is in decrees
To defend a prince…!
