Of what avail is it to dwell on the past,
Where we lived, we loved, we faltered, and died—
All those fleeting memories, tender and sharp,
Must be left behind as echoes of time bygone.
For the past, with its unfulfilled dreams and shattered hopes,
Threatens to consume the present,
And poisons the promise of the future, unborn.
We must move forward, step by step,
Not burdened by what has gone before,
But immersed in the now,
For we are born in this moment,
And we will die in this moment,
Forever cradled by the pulse of now.
Let us not chase what is yet to come,
Nor regret what has passed—
But breathe deep the gifts that today offers,
The grace of the present, fleeting but whole.
For only today carries the truth we seek,
And in this sacred now,
We find our truest home.
