Offering. Poem by Kim Dang

Offering.

What am I offering?
The breakdown of pride built upon years of striving
the tearing of self assurance forged from verbal confidence
disarming what power achieved through accomplishments
So you'd swim in sweat pooled from all my defiance
the chasity belt emblazoned inside me
with significance, even the dellusioned
wouldn't dare deny it.
I'm offering the loophole
through my brickwalls
I'm offering my own kryptonite
That'll reduce me to my instinctual
So you'd get every dropp of satisfaction
by crashing down my volcanoes
so you'd be the only participant to this freak show
and you'll witness the angular, the strengths in my 'no's'
Giving way to something so delayed,
so well played,
so ruthlessly animal.
