Officials Of Our Land Poem by Sam Varghis

Officials Of Our Land

Rating: 4.8

Policeman in the traffic island has no head
He has an extra hand behind to take bribe
The cop in the station has no eyes
He has an extra limb, a lathy, to beat
The judge in the chamber has no ears
He swallows the justice with his trunk
The priest in the temple has no soul
He has a puppet on his brow to mock
The legislator has no heart
He crumples the laws with his jaws white

This is so true Sam.... Really it's a mirror to today's society. I like it.

Wow, I genuinely love this. Very political, I admire that. My favourite of yours so far.
